We're seeking a Social Content Editor to own the editing and optimization of social-first content across platforms, with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The ideal candidate will have experience editing social-first content, understanding platform algorithms, and proficiency in video editing tools.
Requirements
- Edit social-first content with a 24–48 hour turnaround time
- Optimize edits for platform-specific algorithms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts)
- Transform long-form content into multiple short, engaging clips
- Apply social-first editing techniques
- Add captions, motion graphics, and animation layers to enhance engagement
- Collaborate asynchronously with social and brand teams
- Maintain consistency with content calendars and agreed SLAs
- Ensure all content is compliant with internal standards and applicable marketing or regulatory guidelines
- Proofread and polish all social-facing copy
- Identify and suggest trending formats, sounds, and content ideas
- Apply brand style guidelines consistently across all content
- Provide light strategic input on content performance and suggest optimizations
