We’re helping our client find a Social Content Editor to own the editing and optimization of social-first content across platforms. In this role, you’ll be responsible for turning raw footage into high-performing, engaging content tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Requirements
- Edit social-first content with a 24–48 hour turnaround time
- Optimize edits for platform-specific algorithms
- Transform long-form content into multiple short, engaging clips
- Apply social-first editing techniques
- Add captions, motion graphics, and animation layers to enhance engagement
- Understand and implement strong opening hooks tailored to each platform
- Review and refine UGC scripts and creator briefs before production
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice and guidelines
- Collaborate asynchronously with social and brand teams to iterate quickly based on feedback
- Maintain consistency with content calendars and agreed SLAs
- Ensure all content is compliant with internal standards and applicable marketing or regulatory guidelines
- Proofread and polish all social-facing copy
- Identify and suggest trending formats, sounds, and content ideas relevant to the target audience
- Apply brand style guidelines consistently across all content
- Provide light strategic input on content performance and suggest optimizations
