Job Description
Acuity is seeking a Commercial Field Underwriter to quote and issue new commercial accounts for a selected group of committed agents. The ideal candidate will be able to sell Acuity commercial products, enhance agency relationships, and make acceptability and pricing decisions consistent with Acuity goals for growth and profitability.
Requirements
- Visits each agency on a regular basis to solicit new business and enhance agency relationships
- Makes appropriate selection and pricing decisions consistent with Acuity goals for growth and profitability
- Keeps abreast of all company underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as events affecting the industry
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with agents and other Acuity personnel
- Be available to travel throughout the assigned territory as well as occasional travel to other territories as needed
