Acutronic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join its team in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves designing advanced electro-mechanical inertial guidance test systems and applying engineering knowledge to create precision-driven, high-performance mechanisms. The ideal candidate will have experience with gimbaled systems and stabilized platforms, as well as knowledge of FEA software and 3D CAD software.
Requirements
- Designs advanced electro-mechanical inertial guidance test systems
- Performs sizing and selection of critical mechanical and electro-mechanical components
- Responsible for the preparation, review and approval of drawings, calculations, models, Bills of Material, and manufacturing work instructions
- Interfaces with customers during the design process and provides customer support after delivery
- Contribute to the preparing and delivering of customer presentation
- Direct the mechanical designers in developing detailed systems design
- Participate in allocating resources and managing engineering activities
- Perform duties under minimum supervision of Senior Mechanical Engineer
