The Site Safety Officer (FMCC) is tasked with ensuring the implementation of safety norms and regulatory compliance as per DGMS guidelines, with a focus on achieving zero NCs during safety audits and reducing unsafe incidents. They are responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, conducting safety rounds, and providing comprehensive safety orientation to staff.
Requirements
- Plan and direct Surguja Cluster OHSMS programs in Coal Washeries
- Implement IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)
- Implement contractor safety management system at site as per Group SOP
- Conduct Safety meeting along with contractor safety officer
- Toolbox talks
- Training of contractor supervisors
- Training of contract workmen through safety induction and periodic training
- Evaluate the performance of the vendor
- Prepare Safety training calendar and ensure training to Adani and contract employees
- Eliminate the risk of occupational injuries and illnesses, and risk of property losses by the use of recognized loss prevention and control techniques.
- Directs and ensures the adequate investigation, reporting, and analysis of accidents/major incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Review all major incidents (including fatalities) along with the concerned department head and ensure appropriate corrective / preventive action
- Function effectively as a coordinator of emergency response team
- Establish and ensure compliance with state and central statutory requirements and industry standards
- Organize and Conduct Mock Drill for emergency preparedness. Review Mock Drill exercise, identify Gaps and implement the observations
