Job Description
We are seeking a System Engineer to join our MIS/IT team in New York City. The role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of ADAPT's infrastructure and business applications. The System Engineer will manage day-to-day operations, design and implement improvements, and collaborate across departments to deliver technology solutions that align with ADAPT's mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, application development, or related technical role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience with database systems (SQL, MySQL, Oracle).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and virtualization (VMware).
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to customer service and user training.
