Job Description
The Behavioral Health Consultant is responsible for the management of psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases, providing behavioral health services to children and families as part of the continuum of care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Social Work) with two (2) years of directly related experience
- Computer literacy is required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
- Certification or certification eligibility as an LCSW Ed.D, Psy.D., LPC or Ph.D. is required
- Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions
- Ability to work through brief patient contacts as well as to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions
- Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions
- Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross
- Level One Fingerprint clearance card issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety
