Job Description
DevOps Engineer job in Chantilly, VA. Responsible for recommending and implementing products, establishing processes, and interfacing with agile development teams.
Requirements
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Chef or an equivalent
- Security knowledge
- Load balancing / proxying
- Authentication services
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
- Strong experience with SQL, postgres and MySQL databases
- Working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Shell, Perl and/or Ruby)
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Process re-engineering
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- CI/CIT/CD -- continuous integration, continuous integration testing, and continuous deployment
- Experience with software tools in a dev Ops Environment
- Chef, ci/cd pipeline, jenkins, nexus, jira, git and agile skills
