Maintenance Planner and Scheduler

Role Overview

The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler's role is to improve workforce productivity through the coordination and full utilization of all available maintenance resources. They are responsible for developing a plan that ensures efficient execution of reliability focused maintenance practices to ensure safe and consistent equipment and process operations in manufacturing.

What You Will Do

Plan and schedule all work orders, CM (corrective maintenance) and PMs (preventive maintenance), schedule maintenance work groups, communicate with production leaders, and perform physical inventory of spare parts.

Requirements

• Two (2) or more years experience in Maintenance Technician, Planner or Scheduler role in a continuous manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing plant operations and maintenance practices
• Two-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred; equivalent field experience considered
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, extensive knowledge and experience with CMMS (Maximo preferred)
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across maintenance and production teams
• Training and experience in industrial electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferred
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator when required
• Ability to work in elevated areas including, but not limited to platforms, and catwalks
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
