Process Safety Engineer

Role Overview

As the Process Safety Engineer, you'll lead the implementation of progressive ADM Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, engaging a diverse workforce to advance PSM systems. This role will be based in one of our Dawson Oil Complex manufacturing plants.

What You Will Do

Lead the process safety program, establish a safety culture, monitor and evaluate PSM performance, and advise management on improvements. Participate in Process Hazard Analyses, provide PSM training, conduct self-assessments, and organize technical process safety documentation.

You'll drive a transformation with your technical expertise and leadership, working collaboratively with the Total Process Safety Technology Center. You'll also participate in PSM Compliance Audits and assessments, and lead and facilitate local PSM Risk Assessments and incident investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or a master's degree in chemical engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operations, Technology COE, Engineering or EHS
• Exposure to OSHA's 14 element PSM program and/or 20 element Risk-Based Process Safety program as defined by the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS)
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a result focused approach
• Strong leadership, change management and project/program management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acts as a reliable pro-active communicator
• A drive for success, a continuous improvement approach, a consistently positive attitude and outlook
• Cultural awareness and the ability to bridge cross-cultural boundaries
