Senior Optomechanical Engineer - Photonics packaging

Design and develop mechanical layouts and physical configurations for complex optical and photonic systems, specifically fiber-optic gyroscopes. Provide expert guidance on mechanical integration of photonics components, analyse environmental factors, and contribute to product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or physics discipline
• Proven experience in opto-mechanical design and integration of optical components
• Prior experience with Fibre Optic Gyroscopes and thermal management
• Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) and New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar industry-standard tool
• Experience with ray tracing and optical modelling tools, such as Zemax
