Child Caregiver

Assists child care teachers in planning, implementing and supervising daily programs for children. Assists in creating a pleasing learning environment and provides positive guidance and redirection strategies to help children develop self-regulation skills.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Six months experience in early childhood education: Preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire: Required
• Oregon Food Handlers certification within 30 days of hire: Required
• Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety (ICCHS) within 30 days of hire: Required
• Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN) within 30 days of hire: Required
• Safe Sleep for Oregon's Infants course Certificate (SSOI) within 30 days of hire: Required
• Foundations For Learning (FFL) within 30 days of hire: Required
• Heartsaver CPR (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthstream Basic Life Support (HS-BLS) or RQIBLS: Required
• FH OR OFH OR FH-efoodcard: Required
• First Aide (FA): Required
