Lead Surgical Technician (Full-time, Day Shift)

Assists the surgical team in preparing for surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile field. Prepares and assembles supplies and equipment, and performs level I, II, and III cases. Reviews inventory and orders equipment for specialty cases assigned. Participates in training staff and students on new equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred
• Completion of an Operating Room (OR) training course: Preferred
• Surgery Technician certification: Preferred
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
• Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required, Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
