Nurse Practitioner (Outpatient)

The position is for an Outpatient Nurse Practitioner focused on providing expert clinical care to patients with a commitment to patient education and continuity of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the state of practice
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Interviews patients, employees and/or family members.
• Constructs comprehensive medical histories.
• Performs initial and periodic physical examinations.
• Evaluates patient behavior and explores patient's interpretation of health needs.
• Supervises patients and communicates treatment plans.
• Provides continuity of care, including medication administration and follow-up care.
• Performs diagnostic studies and provides interpretation of results.
• Writes and monitors medication orders and prescriptions.
• Adheres to cost-containment measures.
