Job Description
Paramedic provides emergency care in the pre-hospital environment, including evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of the ill and injured. Responds to calls for emergency medical assistance and provides first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients according to acceptable medical practice standards.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Three years' full time experience in a 911 system
- Paramedic license in state of practice
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS OR HS-ACLS OR RQIACLS) certification
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC) or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
