The Chaplain will provide spiritual care to patients, families, and team members. They will also participate in patient care planning, interdisciplinary team activities, and support groups. The Chaplain will represent the values of the religious communities to healthcare professionals and hospital associates.
Requirements
- 4 units of CPE, at least three accredited by ACPE
- Eligible for board certification as a chaplain: APC/BCCI, NACC, NAJC
- Endorsed by faith group
- Completed graduate degree (MA, MDiv) in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field
- Prior clinical experience as a chaplain: 3 years
- Excellent oral and written communication and human relation skills
- Demonstrated group process skills and leadership
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to address and resolve conflicts
- Ability to trust, adapt to change, and to work with diverse personalities, cultures and faith traditions
