Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work in our internal float pool at St. Luke's Medical Center in Aurora, WI. The CNA will assist RNs with daily patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. The successful candidate will have a GED or high school diploma, 6 months of experience as a Nursing Assistant I, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Requirements
- Assists RNs with daily patient care
- Measures and documents patient data
- Performs purposeful rounding and communicates with RNs
- Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge process
- Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing
- Maintains and orders stock for nursing area
- Performs patient positioning and transporting duties
- Practices infection prevention and control
- Serves as a resource and subject matter expert
