Diabetes Nurse Educator - Carolinas Medical Center

Diabetes Nurse Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating diabetes self-management training across the continuum for inpatients, outpatients, significant others, and community. The role requires collaboration with patients, families, and/or significant others in establishing mutual learning goals and behavior change goals. The ideal candidate will have a completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing, Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 3 years of experience.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 3 years of experience
• Certification as Diabetes Educator is required
