Medical Assistant II - Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice, follows all policies and procedures, and maintains training and competency based on area of specialty when providing patient care. Performs rooming/visit tasks, assists provider with procedures, and administers medications and vaccines safely. Maintains a clean work environment, ensures instruments and equipment are cleaned appropriately, and ensures equipment and supplies are in working order. Demonstrates effective and timely communication, teamwork, and appropriate escalation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Certification or registration as a CMA or RMA
• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant
