The Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN will provide patient care and perform various administrative tasks in a Family Medicine Clinic setting. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years (LPN: completion of an accredited nursing program with LPN state licensure in the registry)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days
- 6 months to 1 year Medical Assistant or LPN experience with knowledge of EPIC software
- Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills, within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrated competency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrates customer service skills that support a positive patient experience
