Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Director of Engineering - Digital Experiences Platform to manage and grow high-performing teams responsible for scaling our Digital Experiences Platform. The successful candidate will drive innovation and scalability by shaping a cohesive platform, accelerating innovation, championing intelligent experiences, elevating standards and governance, and building the next generation of leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in leading engineering organizations through other managers
- Deep expertise in building large-scale distributed systems
- Comprehensive full-stack knowledge (Java/similar backend and modern frontend frameworks)
- Experience in leading through collaboration and governance in decentralized environments
- Ability to translate deep technical infrastructure and business logic into compelling narratives for C-level stakeholders, engineers, and global merchants
- Comfortable with simplicity and change, and ability to navigate uncertainty with a thoughtful, iterative mindset
