Job Description
Aecon is seeking an Apprentice Powerline Technician to join their team. The role involves working alongside experienced Journeypersons to construct, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
Requirements
- Journeyman Power Lineman Apprenticeship and Trade Certificate
- Minimum 2 years utility experience constructing, installing and maintaining overhead, underground, transmission, and distribution systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude, physical strength, and manual dexterity
- Comfortable working at heights, in bucket trucks, and in challenging outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift, climb, crouch, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
