Ironworker

Join Aecon, a North American leader in infrastructure development, as a skilled structural ironworker. You will work as part of a crew to raise, position, align, and secure structural steel components to build complete frameworks and structures.

Requirements

• Erect and assemble structural steel frameworks
• Set up and operate rigging and hoisting equipment
• Signal crane and hoist operators and guide loads using tag lines
• Align, bolt, and secure steel members using hand tools, drift pins, jacks, and turnbuckles
• Perform cutting and welding as required to modify or fit steel components
• Assist with foundation work
• Follow all safety requirements
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions
• Adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as projects progress
