Job Description
Aecon Utilities Engineering is seeking a CAD Technician to join the Electrical division in our U.S. operations. The CAD Technician will be responsible for all facets of design drafting for our existing and prospective utility clients.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Electrical / Civil Engineering program
- Minimum of 1 year experience of CAD Utility Drafting experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Demonstrates ability to understand and maintain CAD standards
- Experience with DTE specifications and standards
- Previous field survey experience
- Proficient with the use of computers and software, including Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
- Understanding of how to read electrical / civil engineering drawings and site plans
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Able to work under and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness
