Senior Investment Manager European Direct Lending – with focus on Private Debt Restructuring

Aegon Asset Management is seeking a Senior Investment Manager European Direct Lending with a focus on Private Debt Restructuring. The role involves assessing distressed loan situations, designing restructuring or recovery strategies, and managing complex transactions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the restructuring and recovery of senior, unitranche, and subordinated loans.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the Netherlands in restructuring/non-performing loan management.
• Deep/strong knowledge of credit re-structuring, risk analysis, and insolvency/legal aspects.
• Experience in negotiating the best outcome as the sole/majority lender to the company.
• Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in Dutch and English.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and ability to manage complex situations.
• DSI certification or willingness to register and comply with ESMA guidelines.
