We are looking for a Senior Safety & Systems Engineer to join our team at AeroVect, a Series A company transforming ground handling with autonomy. The successful candidate will work with our Head of Safety and Head of Systems to design, analyze, and perform Verification & Validation (V&V) of autonomous vehicle system architecture, develop autonomous driving systems, and drive the creation of dependable, safety-critical systems for autonomous driving within the airport driving environment.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on experience with systems engineering (e.g., V Model, requirements documentation, traceability, V&V)
- Experience generating safety artifacts for a complex autonomous system such as Hazard Analyses (HARAs), FMEAs, FTAs, STPAs
- Experience in developing and deploying robotic systems and/or autonomous vehicles with safety-critical components
- Functional safety and SOTIF basic experience
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, including Python/SQL basic proficiency and/or willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions across all levels of the organization
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage deeply and enjoy the work in a fast-paced environment
