Job Description
The Buyer III performs procurement duties related to the purchasing of services, supplies and equipment in accordance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring costs, schedules, and scopes of assigned subcontracts, developing new supply sources, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating terms and pricing.
Requirements
- AS/AA Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 5 – 8 years of related experience
- Experienced negotiating terms and pricing for materials and services
- Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated technical knowledge regarding manufacturing processes of an assigned commodity
- Demonstrated understanding and intermediate usage of computerized MRP / ERP systems
