Job Description
Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (Trust & Safety) to join its remote team. The successful candidate will own and deliver quarterly goals for their team, lead engineers through ambiguity, and ensure high-availability and low-latency systems for Affirm customers. The role requires 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, expertise in designing, developing, and launching backend systems, and proficiency in technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale
- Shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
- Defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple, and extensible design
- Making significant changes in a large code base safely
- Taking ownership of growth and proactively seeking feedback
- Effective collaboration with a global engineering team
