Project Construction Manager: FTC - Mining - Northern Cape

Our client, an International Mining Company, is seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager to join their dynamic team in Northern Cape on a Fixed-Term contract. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage all construction activities, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and execution of projects.

Requirements

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Oversee the daily operations on site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and plans.
• Manage and supervise construction personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with safety standards and contractual obligations.
• Allocate resources efficiently, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify that materials and workmanship comply with project requirements.
• Address and rectify any quality issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively.
• Oversee construction budgets and control costs, including managing expenditures and tracking financial performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Maintain reports and up-to-date construction documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
