Job Description
The Personal Support Worker provides care to residents according to their care plans and assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Must have a Graduate of Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program and meet vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. Motivated by serving seniors with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Requirements
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents
- Understanding of good sanitation and clean techniques
- Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents
