Recreation Team Member Temporary Part Time [ITL AAide15 0.40] AgeCare Trilogy

The Recreation Worker plans, develops, and runs a variety of meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits which promotes wellbeing, purpose, creativity, a sense of community, lifelong learning, and fun. The role involves assisting in development, planning and implementing daily recreation and leisure activities, as well as supporting all departments in fostering resident engagement.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with seniors, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or other related field
• Enrolled in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or other related field
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a health care related field with demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in providing recreation and leisure services
