Recreation Worker [C] Temporary Part Time (RBR AAide7 0.80) AgeCare Brant

The Recreation Worker plans, develops, and runs a variety of meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits to promote wellbeing, purpose, creativity, a sense of community, lifelong learning, and fun.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with seniors, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or other related field from a community college or university.
• Enrolled in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or other related field with the intent to successfully complete the program within three years of being hired.
• OR A post-secondary degree or diploma in a health care related field and demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in providing recreation and leisure services in a health care setting.
