BESS Technician

We're looking for a BESS Technician based out of our Lomondgate depot to work as part of our team in providing energy solutions. As a BESS Technician, you will prepare estimates, carry out maintenance and repair work, and provide support for the operational business.

Requirements

• Time-served Electrical Engineer (SCQF Level 7 / SVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship) with demonstrable hands-on experience in single- and three-phase electrics, and strong practical knowledge of AC and DC control systems.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing BESS fleets (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and associated electrical equipment — skilled at fault diagnosis, testing and delivering robust repairs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with clear, professional communication; adept at building relationships and engaging stakeholders at all levels (internal and external) to achieve safe, timely outcomes.
• Safety-first mindset with up-to-date working practices and regulatory compliance; competent in MS Office and PC tools, flexible and willing to travel as required.
