Aggreko is looking for a Commissioning Manager - Renewables to lead and coordinate all commissioning activities for hybrid renewable energy projects, including thermal, solar PV, BESS, and wind. The role involves developing commissioning schedules, procedures, and checklists, managing commissioning teams, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related technical discipline
- High voltage switching qualifications or equivalent is preferred
- OEM training / certifications for solar inverters, wind turbines, or BESS systems would be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., IEC, AS/NZS, grid codes).
- Demonstrated (ideally approx 8 – 12+ years) commissioning experience in renewable energy or power generation projects
- Proven track record commissioning thermal, solar PV, wind turbines, and BESS
- Experience with hybrid power plant controls, Energy Management Systems (EMS), SCADA systems, and grid integration
- Strong understanding of HV / LV electrical systems, protection schemes, grid codes, and utility interfacing
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary site teams in complex commissioning environments
