Technical Director

Agile Defense seeks a Technical Director to provide program management, systems engineering, software development, and operational support for the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Business Systems Branch. The role involves introducing emerging technologies and enhancing existing systems, supporting the Program Manager, and ensuring optimal system performance while managing costs. The ideal candidate will leverage speed, flexibility, and ingenuity to strengthen and protect our nation’s vital interests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of technical leadership for DoD or DoN programs.
• Technical experience directly related to software/system development (Waterfall and Agile methodologies) using a DevSecOps framework.
• Proven experience with migrating systems to cloud.
• Proven experience with managing data lake/Business Intelligence/Artificial Intelligence projects.
• At least seven years related to the implementation and maintenance of management information systems and or software intensive systems within the 10 years of experience.
• At least seven years of managerial leadership mobilizing teams to complete PWS task activities per established procedures within the 10 years of experience.
• At least five years of system development and integration experience for DoD or DON software programs hosted in the AWS GovCloud.
