Surgical Laser Technicians maintain a professional relationship with all physicians, hospital staff, physicians’ office staff and other personnel both in appearance and behavior. They test, clean, and sterilize equipment in the operating room prior to procedures and present in the operating room during procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred
- Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license
- Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time as well as being able to bend and reach repeatedly
- Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time
