Requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and execute exploration programs (drilling, mapping, sampling, geophysical and geochemical surveys) in alignment with site objectives, annual work plans, and approved budgets;
- Provide front-line supervision and technical oversight of drilling and field programs, ensuring programs are executed safely, efficiently, and to company standards;
- Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to refine geological 3D models, generate and prioritize exploration targets, and support resource growth strategies;
- Ensure sampling, analytical, and QA/QC protocols are implemented and reviewed in accordance with company standards to support reliable geological interpretations and decision-making;
- Contribute to internal technical reporting, exploration summaries, and project reviews by providing clear interpretations, recommendations, and status updates to management;
- Support the development of exploration staff through coaching, mentoring, and participation in training and performance feedback processes;
- Promote and enforce Agnico Eagle's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Cultural policies, ensuring compliance by all employees and contractors across exploration activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering; post-graduate degree considered an asset;
- Registered as a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) in Canada;
- Minimum 7 years of mineral exploration experience, including field programs and diamond drilling;
- Experience with a range of deposit and mineralization styles;
- Experience managing exploration programs, including budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination;
- Demonstrated ability to integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support targeting and project decisions;
- Working knowledge of core logging software, GIS, 3D modeling, and Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience supervising technicians, GITs, and contractors in field or drill programs;
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with ability to work independently or in a team;
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment;
- Valid driver's license.
