Aims Community College is seeking a full-time Instructor for its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction and assessment, continually refine and modernize curriculum, and maintain currency in their field of expertise.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a related healthcare field
- 5 years of emergency medical experience with knowledge of hospital and EMS policies and procedures
- Paramedic certification and 10,000 hours of related experience
- Registered with the National Registry or State Paramedic certified
- Current immunizations, including Tuberculosis, Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus
- ACLS & PALS Certification
- Ability to teach using methodologies that support a student-centered learning environment
- Computer literacy and the ability to use computer technology in classroom/lab instruction
- Willingness to take classes in teaching methods, curriculum development, computer applications, or other coursework
