Flight Nurse

Flight Nurse delivers lifesaving care for the community in Bakersfield, CA, and flies in state-of-the-art helicopters to provide advanced care. Requires 3+ years of critical care experience, a graduate degree in a health-related field, and advanced skills and certifications.

Requirements

• Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize the care needed for the safe transport of the critical patient.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation and competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
• Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences and communicate educational needs to the Medical Base Supervisor and Medical Education Coordinator.
• Knowledgeable in using and maintaining all equipment and supplies used by Air Methods CBS.
