Job Description
Tier One Repair Telecom job requires 2+ years of experience researching and resolving telecom technical issues. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, and resolving customer transport issues, as well as providing technical support and customer service. The position requires strong knowledge of WAN technologies, Cisco and Adtran routers, and SD-WAN and Firewall technologies.
Requirements
- Testing and Fault Isolation on layer 1 and 2 of the OSI model
- Troubleshooting customer transport issues
- Inbound/outbound technical call handling
- Creating internal trouble tickets and carrier tickets
- Providing technical support and customer service
- Log/documenting all interactions and issues
- Determine source of problems and advise on appropriate action
- Escalating to Senior/Lead Technician on shift as necessary
