Airgas Chemical/Mechanical Engineering Intern position provides training, exposure, and experience in a key functional area that impacts our business. Participants will work directly with managers and mentors to build technical and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Currently working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree, a focus in Supply Chain, Logistics, or business administration preferred
- 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
- Prior internship experience preferred but not required
- Dependable, quick learner who is independent and works well with others
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented and quality focused
- Ability to act with professionalism, customer focus, and confidentiality
- Ability to learn and utilize Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
- Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Associates and/or customers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language
- Strong Mathematical abilities including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
- Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
