Plant Operator

We are looking for a Plant Operator to support our team by safely operating equipment for the handling and production of packaged gas cylinders. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in a manufacturing operation, filling or loading experience is a plus. The Plant Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading gas cylinders, sorting empty cylinders, rolling cylinders, and operating a forklift truck. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets, and a high level of attention to detail and precision.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing operation, filling or loading experience is a plus
• Familiarity with the gas, welding, and safety supply industry or chemical industry is valued
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
• High level of attention to detail and precision
• Comfortable with basic calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) in all units of measure
• Ability to safely operate a forklift (training may be provided)
• Physical dexterity to navigate the plant floor
• Specific vision abilities to ensure safety
