Job Description
Akicita Federal is seeking Emergency Room Physicians (HCPs) to provide comprehensive emergency medical services at Bemidji Area Service Units. These physicians will be fully prepared to deliver high-quality care in life-threatening emergencies, offering independent assessments, diagnoses, and treatments across various conditions and systems. The role requires shift-based work and a commitment to emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Provide independent emergency services for all presenting patients, including cardiac arrest responses (“Code Blue”).
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans based on history, physical exams, labs, and imaging.
- Diagnose and treat injuries and conditions affecting: skin, head, eyes, ears, nose, throat, neck, psychiatric illness and major trauma, reproductive, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, lymphatic, musculoskeletal, genitourinary, endocrine, and nervous systems.
- Utilize the Bemidji Area Service Unit’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for all care documentation.
- Complete electronic medical records, patient histories, lab orders, consults, and discharge documentation.
