The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking a Production Compliance Auditor to join the Regulatory Compliance (RC) Branch. This role is part of the Production & Emissions Compliance team, focusing on routine audits, supporting complex compliance assurance activities, and verifying compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in environment, oil & gas or related field
- 8+ years of directly related experience in auditing or related oil & gas experience
- Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) certification is considered an asset
- Experience with controls-based and substantive audit methodologies is an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Directive 076, Directive 017, and Directive 007
- Familiarity with Petrinex and its applications in volumetric reporting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with SQL queries are considered assets
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to maintain thorough documentation, track work progress, and prioritize tasks based on risk and value
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
