Job Description
The Emergency Response Coordinator supports the Alberta Energy Regulator’s environmental protection and public safety mandate by coordinating the AER’s oversight response to significant incidents and emergencies, and ensuring industry maintains an effective level of preparedness.
Requirements
- Diploma in emergency response, emergency management, or other related education
- 7 years of relevant experience, with a focus in the energy sector
- Experience with risk-informed decision making and multitasking
- Academic and practical experience in emergency management principles, phases, and incident command
- Strong knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS)
- Possess a fully valid class 5 driver’s license along with a positive driving record
