The Policy Advisor role drives cross-sector innovation and infrastructure strategy, shaping Alberta's approach to economic corridors by developing policy and engagement initiatives that support infrastructure, trade, and regional growth.
Requirements
- Conducting research, jurisdictional scans, and analysis to inform policy development and engagement strategies
- Drafting briefing materials, Cabinet decision documents, presentations, and reports for executive and ministerial audiences
- Supporting and coordinating project planning, risk assessments, evaluation plans, and monitoring activities
- Developing communication strategies, key messages, and Q&A materials for public announcements and stakeholder outreach
- Coordinating internal and external engagement efforts, including stakeholder logistics and consultation activities
- Supporting cross-ministry working groups and committees to ensure policy alignment and representation of TEC priorities
- Identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure effective policy implementation and stakeholder collaboration
- Managing multiple, concurrent priorities and producing timely, high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment
