Facilities Maintenance Technician

Alertus is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the safe, efficient, and professional operation of its headquarters. The role requires a broad skill set to ensure all building systems and the physical environment are well-maintained and compliant with all standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the following trades/skills: HVAC, electric, plumbing, carpentry, & life safety equipment & systems.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and general maintenance tasks independently.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Knowledge of building safety standards.
• Ability to perform well under a high volume of requests.
• Must possess a valid MD driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Must be comfortable with heights and working on ladders.
• Willing to work a flexible work schedule which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
