Senior Revenue Accountant

A publicly traded global software company is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its growing finance team. The role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong ASC 606 revenue recognition experience who is interested in working in a public company environment with exposure to SEC reporting and technical accounting.

Requirements

• Lead and support the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Review customer contracts in collaboration with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to evaluate revenue implications
• Assist with preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), including revenue disclosures and supporting documentation
• Maintain and strengthen SOX-compliant internal controls related to revenue recognition and financial reporting
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors on revenue-related matters
• Assist with development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
• Participate in system enhancements and automation initiatives related to revenue processes
• Stay current on accounting guidance, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
