The EESD program will sit within our Mechanical and Transportation Technology (MTT) department. By supporting the course development now, you will be considered for teaching opportunities in the Fall and Winter 2026–2027 semesters, as well as be added to our talent pool for future roles that match your expertise and qualifications.
Requirements
- Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g. Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechantronics or Robotics, Systems Engineering, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronic and embedded systems, firmware development, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA), hardware description language (HDL)
- Minimum five (5) years direct work experience with electronics and embedded systems, firmware development, FPGA, HDL
- Minimum two (2) years of course development, curriculum development, teaching experience, or equivalent, preferably in a college/university setting
- Evidence of commitment to the success of all learners
- Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies
- Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
