Job Description
Fabricates and assembles structural metal products, such as framework or shells for machinery, ovens, tanks, stacks, and metal parts for buildings and bridges according to job order, verbal instructions, and blueprints.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving abilities
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player
- Understand and obey safety requirements
- Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris
